Where are you seeing that it still had location data? I see the post but the comments are mostly just people talking about how it exposes him to being targeted by foreign intel agencies (which obviously is still a huge security breach).

Screen time. Books aren't about being creatively stimulating, they're about spending time processing someone else's perspective on the world.

I'm sure he would be very happy with my new proposal for a global speed limit of 10 mph. Since we apparently require a single global limit it's the only one that should work everywhere.

I think your problem is that you're taking a very simple and general statement of intent and extrapolating many very specific outcomes that would naturally be covered as part of actually drafting the relevant legislation. We can argue about those details once we've reached that step.

I'm not sure you'll find many people who support governors but don't also support global maximum speed limits. Or just making speed limits more sane in general. They're all very synergistic policies.

Governors have the benefit of specifically targeting the most dangerous drivers and of being relatively easily applied universally. Fixing road design with traffic calming measures is an important long term project, but requires unique planning for every piece of road.

Where speed limits are wrong they are nearly always too fast. Governors don't become a bad idea just because 0.01% of roads should have a higher limit.

Aren't all the hidden Luigis 2D? I would be surprised if they use different models from each other, though it's very possible they are all inefficient. I'm wondering if being underwater is the cause. Maybe an already inefficient model is not bad in most cases but plays havoc with the water effects.
