Genuinely… this was the last thing I had to hold onto and look forward to after the worst year of my life and I can’t even have this. Laid off, grieving losing my family and a friend, other really horrible stuff… I’m starting to lose my patience here. Like… I go one step forward and 100 back.

Went to the homeland to sort my EU citizenship out. Did all the forms correctly, spent months getting all the documentation together, went to court and signed them off and was *almost* there and then bam - what was a 1.5 hour process is now *15 months* because they changed it with no communication.

started work in a bar to get back on my feet after the layoff, a few close bereavements and lots of bad stuff in between. i guess it’s nice working on something in my interest field, but honestly? whilst it’s a very customer-first and *social* job, i don’t think I’ve ever felt more alone in my life

some positive mack news for once - down 3.7kg / 8.2lbs in just over 6 weeks, which is the first time i’m 88.4kg - under 90kg/200lbs in 8 years! stupidly pleased.
just big walks around london and skipping the soda, meal deals and stress eating/junk food. lots more progress to go but… good feeling 🐾
