The whole ridiculous sentence-paragraph is definitely not in the recording, and any listener's subsequent confusion makes perfect sense. But including this half-baked, illogical word salad would not have improved listener comprehension; this is just bad writing, badly read.

Nuzzi wasn't quoting JBR; she was rambling incoherently about Trump, beauty pageants, the murderous targeting of beautiful girls, and media feeding frenzies. Guessing she was relating her "victimization" to JBR's, but the comparison doesn't work.

JBR didn't say that; this "quote" was part of a paragraph-long run-on sentence.

Agreed! Too many in this country are oblivious to its destruction!

Especially pertinent today, in light of the Hep B vaccination roll back: while protesting with this sign, someone asked me, "Who is RFK Jr?"

My latest protest sign. The center symbol is the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety pictogram for "can cause death or toxicity with short exposure to small amounts," which seems apt.

Absolutely! I have wondered whether my teacher shared her diagnosis to dispel potential concerns about an alcoholic teaching young children.

As for the timeline of this story: my teacher, who never reached retirement age, died in the mid 70s; I became an RN and got a Hep B vaccine in the mid 80s.

First mistake: using a real knife. 😬
Second mistake: pulling the knife out. 😖

Best to wait until the knife can be safely removed in a hospital by those who have the knowledge and equipment to handle any sequelae, including resuscitation.

Hosting a party for spouse's office; put a 33 lb frozen turkey in the fridge, but it didn't thaw in time. Put it in a bathtub to thaw, mom and I dropped the slippery, awkward bird while lifting it out. Skidded across the floor and stopped against the toilet's base. Cooked it anyway and no one died.

Alt: Julia Child is spreading a raw turkey's wingspan while jiggling its carcass. The caption says `HAPPY TURKEY DAY.

Oof. I take it you haven't watched Death by Lightning (Netflix) yet? It beautifully demonstrates why sometimes it's best that the bullet stays put. Tough to watch the mayhem perpetrated by President Garfield's physician who is convinced otherwise.

Guessing this had something to do with tattoos on potential recruits?

I was expecting this rule to be rescinded: "Not authorized: tattoos that represent racism, discrimination, indecency, extremist/supremacist ideals, lawlessness, violence, or are sexually explicit."

Okay, but how many gallons of ice cream in each batch? From the photo, it looks like your ice cream to candy ratio is 1.5:1!

Shades of "You're so vain, you prob'ly think this song is about you" only more pathetic.
