This is a clearer reference for how the markings are supposed to look, they wrap around the arms and legs and are the exact same shape when turned 180 degrees. This is mostly relevant for side angles.
They don't have a super specific location, it's mostly style over realism.

The "shaded tail" is how it should be normally. A pink to white gradient in a fire-like way. Flat color tail is merely for color picking.
Despite technically being shaded this is still the exact way this tail should look by default, including every detail.

I was just trying to inquire about their OC, not sure why they blocked me. I mean, THEY said themselves that they don't know what to name her, kinda seems like it's implying they made the character, right?
