I got here via NYC instead of Detroit because the first flight out of Cleveland was grounded because the pilot’s oxygen mask clip was broken. And apparently it was going to be at least 90 minutes to get a replacement.

Yeah it’s a huge issue for consultants and contractors because generally ADEntra accounts work fine inside the walled garden of a given company but the fact that they don’t associate my MY Microsoft Account that identifies ME and instead every one makes their own duplicate account… nightmare.

It’s such a cluster that Ms accounts alone are reason enough for me to generally avoid and recommend against sites and tools that use them like Teams and Azure Devops.

Ask me how many times GitHub has asked me if it’s my work or school account?

GitHub's response to npm supply chain attacks is too one-sided. By reinforcing maintainer responsibility, they're missing ingestion-point detection. For example, the registry could require packages that add a postinstall script for the first time to have a semver major bump.
