The studio is also available for jamming and rehearsals (and they can be recorded simply for a reduced price), and this fancy new board just came in for when it's all about the PA, getting loud, and rockin' out!

First time recording the piano! Two ribbons on top, one Beatles mic (WA-19) on the bottom, and a hidden room mic to pick up the natural reverb designed into the shape of the room. The computer in the tracking room is a remote for the actual computer in the control room. Super exciting!

The siding is up! We're waiting to peel the plastic off the window as a final opening gesture. There are a few little things left to do in the lounge. There will be a full set of pics coming soon along with the booking announcement.

I heard these ribbons against the "industry standards", had to get a pair. They have that super important mid-range punch and transient smoothness, but also extend the high and low ends - freaking beautiful. And this coffee is bold but not overwhelming, strong but not bitter, smoky but not burnt.

Ardemont has two iso booths, but we did an experiment in the main live room. We packed six musicians in there with a P.A. and no isolation, and still got fantastic separation! This was the most extreme test we could put the studio through and it passed with flying colors!

The very first mic pre I bought in the late 90s was this ART Dual Tube MP. The great thing about it is it can distort without clipping, so now it's an analog distortion box for adding that special vibe.
