I had heard that Discord screen share was broke on Linux, but it worked 100% fine - I hadn't had the chance to test it beforehand.

The Dashboard was great. The spreadsheet didn't get touched. I was concerned about getting everything done and ended up with physical notes instead. I probably should have planned it like that from the beginning.

As previously mentioned, I'll be splitting this massive group into two separate parties, running on alternating weeks. There is potential for crossover, but I'm not looking for that until the campaign(s) gets its feet under it.

It's hard to get in modern too, unless the Referee explicitly allows it, but there are several ways of doing so.

One character said let's FAFO, and went directly for Space Pirate. He ended up boosting a Safari Ship from Lord Foggybottom, the previously insulted Aslan noble.

A high-SOC character only went to college because Mom and Dad wanted him to. He was rejected and joined the Space Coast Guard. Before the term was out, he'd insulted an Aslan, caused a diplomatic incident, and got mauled, only to be med-evaced off-planet by a friendly Aslan.

One character became embroiled in a conspiracy, then later was the target of assassins.

A lot of players chose their own homeworlds from the lore site before we even started. A lot of them went for Maquelar, the cyberpunk asteroid shithole. Two went with Sargon, with its ancient nobility. Only one picked Celestin, the highest-TL world in the sector (at TL-C).

I was surprised that nobody bit on the Psionics route, even though I made the Psionic Community pre-career explicitly available. Only one player went for an alien - an Aslan. We had two Navy characters, a lot of characters spent time in the Scouts. But nobody for very long.

All hail the new Traveller!
I have TEN players. Character creation will be everybody, but afterwards I am breaking them into 2 teams of 5, and sending them out looking for trouble. Separate sessions, locations, ships and adventures.

It is theoretically possible to die in MgT2 Character Creation.
