What is happening in the US is the same that has happened in every fascist state in history: oligarchs exploiting hate to increase their wealth and power. We thought it couldn't happen here, but we were wrong.
Stages of MAGA denials:
1. This never happened.
2. If it happened, we didn't mean it.
3. If we meant it, it's good for the country.
4. If it's not good for the country, we did it anyway, deal with it.

It's called the "scorched earth" tactic. They are saying that either they will rule or they won't leave anything standing for liberals or anyone else who come after them.

I agree that officiating has been bad for years, but in fairness I would say that their job is very difficult having to deal with too many, complicated, and ambiguous rules. They need to reduce the number of rules and define once and for all what a catch is. None of this "football move" nonsense.

There was a hold in the end zone not called that would have been a safety and an instant win for Denver. There were controversial missed calls on both sides. Allen did not play well enough to win and, sometimes, you just need to accept that.

Two things, the first is in the rule book, the second is not. 1) The refs make the call in real time, and the bar to overturn on reply is high ("conclusive evidence"). 2) If they overturn it, they are basically awarding the game to Buffalo. By letting it stand, the game continues. It's human nature.
