There are a lot of reasons dogs might eat grass, including a need for fiber (cats do this too). we had an indoor cat that was obsessed with eating plants (including fake ones) who loved wheat grass (often sold as "cat grass"). hopefully doggo just digested it.

You may have already thought of this, but you've let the vet know that you're looking to re-home them? Our vet will sometimes have an adoption board up, or they might know of resources you haven't tried yet.
