That's the thing. You can't really know. That's one of my frustrations as a game designer. Unless you're doing some super intrusive reporting back home, you can't really tell what people are finding, liking or struggling with.

My experience is opposite but oh, so similar. Maybe gamedev is just too big an umbrella for us to define ourselves by it. I'll start telling people I'm a pRNG Editor at meetings and parties. See how that goes. At least people will get you if you say you're a storyteller and world maker.

Yup. This is one of those movies from way back that I loved and really wanted to see again and enjoy. Absolutely unwatchable.

I hear they’re developing a new anti seismic building technology based on this. They determined that a 50m radius one should be able to withstand a magnitude 9.0 earthquake but they haven’t been able to detach one from a mold once they pass 42m.

Maybe this is a LoD kinda thing? That uses your predictable boring model at large scale but the interesting one in smaller areas?
Or the same but in the time scale? Predictable year round but chaotic day-to-day?
