Eventually, either Bubblegum discovers Cherry's true identity and puts a stop to his plans or Cherry reveals himself when it's too late for Bubblegum to stop him depending on the player's actions throughout the game.

Eventually, either Bubblegum discovers Cherry's true identity and puts a stop to his plans or Cherry reveals himself when it's too late for Bubblegum to stop him depending on the player's actions throughout the game.
Bubblegum has a history of abusing drugs and believes that his hallucinations (including Cherry whom only he can see and hear) are a result of lingering side effects but actually Cherry is a demon that uses hallucinations to try and get Bubblegum to unknowingly commit atrocities.

It would be up to two players with the main characters being Bubblegum the homicide detective and Cherry his pink sheep imaginary friend.

It would switch between a candyland fantasy art style and a dark streets/alleyways art style with the music. Some hidden levels being only accessible with a certain art style on the screen. And some mini levels being only one character.
