Cut it pretty close with the leftovers in my fridge of my girlfriend’s prized starter, oof, time to grow Lil bulby some more with some carefully planned feeds. Meanwhile, my homegrown continues to get scraped down to dregs and somehow revives from 2g every time. Sourdough is punk, actually 😂

Rye loaf vs standard wheat. Used the same recipe ratios but swapped 1/3 flour for rye and also used rye starter. Both BF to 60% at 71F. rye continues to rye-s in the fridge whereas the wheat gets pretty well halted from rising. This is my favorite way to experiment because at the end? You get bread.

3 days of consistent doubling within 6 hours and 7+ days since established, so my rye based baby was ready to test. Slightly less oven spring than the long established starter (pic 3) but promising results 🥰 #sourdough

Had an excess of moss from typical PNW moisture, we hired Johnny Tsunami (lol) to soft brush most of it off and kill the rest with zinc. The technician did an amazing job for us, cleaned the mess and left it nicer than he found it, even 🥰 would recommend this company for Seattle area maintenance 👍👌

I used to think I had no wave pattern, perhaps maturing or perhaps hormonal shifts after pregnancy caused this but, my untreated & un-curly method’d hair still pretty fluffy. Still honing in on the best method for me (aka I get dizzy & don’t wanna flip my head upside down for perfect diffusion)

Had a conflict of plans with my dear wife who wanted to go to a thing but had another thing tbd for the schedule, and logistics got under our skin a bit trying to make mutual plans, but then the artist cancelled the whole tour before we came to a compromise… so I guess that solves that #fate
