I’m going to release my findings on if Anthony Melei (1941-1968) and Frank A. Melei Jr (1948-1966) were brothers SOON! I have obtained both of their death certificates & back 2 more generations! Yup, I really wanted to know who they belonged to and where those people came from… a theme of my work.

Oof! 😅 Today was one of those days where I went to the library to find one thing and came across so much more. Lots of analysis and citations tomorrow! Inching my way through this #genealogy project.

So I called this woman and was on the phone for over 30 minutes nerding out over early and mid-20th century events of this county! She happily agreed to help me get the records I need. I sent her my email list. Let’s hope she can get them for me before the holidays 🥰

Today a called a County Recorder Office (in a different state) hoping that they may be able to look up some deeds for me and the woman was so kind letting me know that I would need to do it in person…not going to happen…and then proceeded to give me the name and phone number of a local researcher!
