The point is the Dems need to wake up, change leadership, Whitmer & Newsom are not the future. There is a reason AOC & Fetterman are so popular. They are the antithesis to Newsom. We need to SPEAK to the working class & meet them where they are instead of being preachy, condescending & high brow.

Ya the hardcore Trumpers are lost. That's not who won him the election. It was record numbers of Latino, black and young people, who don't like him per se. Dems are generally college educated & can be really preachy. Better than thou vibes with the language policing, etc.

It's also btw what people like Ritchie Torres & Bernie Sanders are saying this week. Think Torres, a gay afro latino who represents the South Bronx knows his constituents.

And this goes way back. We started bleeding working class voters in the Obama era bc we are seen as a bunch of technocratic snooty elitists that look down on people. Like this exactly. Saying voters are stupid. Exactly my point.

Torres, a gay Afro Latino who represents a district of 92% Latinos and blacks, most of whom are poor working class I think is in a position to speak on behalf of his constituents.
