It's almost like bad stuff is ongoing in the world and should be stood against.

Why do you gotta have someone breathing down your neck about it?

Leftists have attempted plenty of times and instead been shown either the kid's table or the door, do pardon me if I don't think much about the seating arrangements.
February 13, 2026 at 8:54 PM
Because to me that would not be a reason to go to bat for a party like that. It smacks of terrible mismanagement or cronyism or both.
February 13, 2026 at 8:53 PM
Please, by all means educate me as to why ActBlue monitoring a lot of donations equals no money for the party itself.

Is it the same answer as to all those consultation firms sending all those annoying emails and ads making off with more money by far than they gave to the party?

I find it interesting that you think withholding of a vote, the most powerful thing one can do in electoral politics, is doing nothing.

Further I've seen how leftists are treated by the "coalition" when they DO hold their noses and vote. I can see why they turned away.

Still struggling with rhetorical shorthand, I see. You'll get there one day champ
February 13, 2026 at 8:48 PM
I don't choose to be wrong, and am happy to be corrected. So far only one person has actually attempted to do that though.
February 13, 2026 at 8:47 PM
Thank you, Atticus, I appreciate that.

So I am, as noted, not an American and not a legal scholar, but that sounds to me like by codifying Roe v Wade into the constitution would have made it more difficult to repeal by requiring "high levels of consensus to achieve."

Am I correct in this?
February 13, 2026 at 8:46 PM
Cool, never said they couldn't. I asked what was wrong with my definition as posted above.
February 13, 2026 at 8:44 PM
Dang, yeah, thanks Hilldawg.

So... what did they do about it?
February 13, 2026 at 8:42 PM
So how is my definition incorrect?
February 13, 2026 at 8:38 PM
I do not, no.

Which perhaps is why either Democrats should make some concessions to the Left (like perhaps doing more than lip service towards the ongoing genocide in Gaza and the ongoing ramp up to genocide against trans people at home.)

Is this DARVO?
February 13, 2026 at 8:35 PM
*Shrug*

It's almost like having money allows you to get loans or something.

Small-dollar donors are undeterred
Small-dollar Democratic donors give nearly half a billion in Q3 2025, delivering a clear answer in the face of GOP attacks.

Many people are asking!
February 13, 2026 at 8:31 PM
Bill Clinton?
February 13, 2026 at 8:28 PM
If leftists are so important to tie that other hand, maybe offer some kind of incentive beyond a nebulous "but we have to stop them! We're gonna stop them for real this time!"
One can only bank on desperation for so long before it starts looking like either a deliberate manipulation or incompetence

Thank god you're here! Nobody can tell me where my definition of judicial review is wrong!

I can see why you're winning hearts and minds all over the world.
February 13, 2026 at 8:20 PM
They raised over 81 million dollars in the first ten months of 2025 through direct donations.

If they're broke now, that's some DEEP mismanagement.
February 13, 2026 at 8:19 PM
Sure, you can have a little mini context collapse in a thread made to collapse context, as a treat.
Good grief.

Saying that persuasion can sometimes involve force and coercion is not the same as advocating for it. I was simply answering Effy's question.

Or maybe you haven't, I guess.

This was thwarted, but think of all the messaging coming from the Republicans regarding Democrats. This will continue. It will get worse.
