We are not the products of intelligent design. My endometriosis + this 2yo pug's unnaturally flat face prove that God is not real or he's a masochist who delights in our meaningless suffering.

I feel this way about victim advocacy and other social work-adjacent roles. When I was in the field, most of my coworkers either lived with parents or had a husband who earned much more. It's not a field for people who want to make an independent, dignified living. That realization broke my heart.
