I know it’s quite uncool but I really like BeReal. Every day I post a nearly identical picture of myself at home or in a coffee shop or in the gym. And my friends do it too. And sometimes they run off to Azerbaijan or something. And it just feels nice.

My honest speculation on that - that entire sequence was likely an executive producer or similar coming in saying: you need to explain everything in the first two minutes or you’ve lost the audience. And the filmmaker (who wanted a story to reveal itself) groaning and saying ok fine.
