Yep. The fans are starting to feel like a bunch of suckers. It ain’t good. As a forever optimist, I believe there’s still time to make an impact, but it’s running short and the options have dwindled severely.

Watch the Secret Base documentary of Dave Stieb and you will find a mini documentary of how Rickey absolutely dominated the Blue Jays in that series. The whole thing is fantastic and I highly recommend.

Man that’s sad news. As a kid growing up in Toronto in the 80s I knew Rickey was always a feared opponent of the Blue Jays. The older I got the more I grew to respect just how good he was. One of the all time greats for sure. He will be missed.

Disagree on this one. The golden at bat would completely change the game. Most recent rule changes while having a positive impact, were tweaks that cut out dead time. Most fans don’t want the game changed so drastically, I certainly don’t.

When I saw the blurb about a confrontation, I was hoping Gastineau would go after Favre for ripping off all those poor Mississippians. Oh well… probably will still be worth the watch

Definitely relying on bounce back seasons from Guerrero and Kirk and Varsho. So far…not so good. But I don’t want to be too jaded, they’ve only played 16 games. Give it a month and see how it looks.

This team is showing a lot of the traits that made them so tough to watch last year. Not hitting in big spots, making bad decisions on the bases. I’m still hoping the offense gets going and takes some pressure off the pitching staff. Vladdy and Bo need to be a big part of that though.
