Since people only care about money, what about the cost savings on healthcare from a more active population? Likewise, the healthcare costs of losing bike lanes and roads being more dangerous? I'm sure the 39 cents per ride is made up elsewhere if we only want to talk about money.

Based off of the limited differences in policies by many leadership candidates, it would probably benefit the NDP to switch to a collective leadership model where each person can bring their skills and experience to collectively create a vision for the party.

The following cannot both be true
1. They lost seats because of the shutdown
2. He thinks that people blame Democrats for the shutdown.
If people blamed Democrats, why did Democrats not lose seats? He truly does live in an alternate reality.

That one I'm not as concerned about. You can still build the bike lanes and just make car lanes narrower which will naturally result in lower speeds as studies show narrower lanes result in people being more cautious. It's a terrible law but there are work arounds.

There are a lot of beliefs that can be debated within the party, but if values are disregarded, what is the purpose of the NDP? The NDP support of unions is a purity test, should that be gone, or just those that protect marginalized communities? (which is often what purity test means)
