I came in without touching either. From all my research the consensus seemed to be that Lancashire was better for two(this is definitely one just for my wife and I), but was also the more "cut throat" of the two. For that reason I decided to go with Birmingham, but could definitely see owning both.

This looks incredible. Power Grid is one of my favorite games. Unfortunately this looks extremely hard to find. Was there an American release?

If they are "insignificant" to the game, why not use one of the multiple free use asset libraries that exist? AI isn't the only option.

Ticket to Ride was starting to be called "the new monopoly". Now I see Catan called "the new Ticket to Ride". Much like music, board games suffer from the "it's popular/accessible to more people so it sucks now" way of thinking.
