Been a good fall season of 🚴🏾‍♂️, and more specifically with others.

It’s def humid… aka, “Hell’s Front Porch” season in the DMV. But the ride was nice. Glad to get out with my bro for miles and meals.

That said, twas the 2nd ride of three on deck for today 😅 Trying to “beat the holiday traffic” I guess

Took the @bromptonbicycle.bsky.social (I call this one the “Green Partner”) on the shop ride Friday evening.

As usual, folks wondered if “small wheels” can keep up. Shoot, I wondered how long before I would bonk as I’d already biked 20mi before doing this ride.

The Brompton smashed it. I was 😮‍💨

Finally made it over the newly opened WB&A Trail bridge… glad to see this.

Now, just need to make a small request to friends at the Patuxent Wildlife Refuge for a access bit and my HoCo/PGC/AA County loop can be completed 😁

Was sent a link to a fairly recent blog post on AI stuff… initial thought while reading it was that I was hearing (quietly) that “increased productivity equals more valuable intelligence”. That this is what “AI” means for the modality this post was speaking towards… …and then I reflected towards what has and hasn’t worked professionally. What has caused discussion, and what caused dissension. Some of the most intelligent stuff was not the most productive, but often that which appeared most productive was rewarded as if it were something valuable & intelligent. If there is artificial intelligence, it should probably be more like a bicycle than and internal combustion engine. The distance and speed traveled doesn’t make one more mobile than the other. But, there’s certainly a cost beyond time spent to making one mode work more than the other. Asking folks to consider what they deem intelligent might be more of what quiets my words here. But, perhaps it’s what’s most notable to read in the tea leaves.

Visited Bike Athens and was greeted by one of @tomflood.bsky.social’s signs… definitely made for a great 1st impression.

Dope work Scott and his team does there. I did good by not coming away with a bike, but will def want to visit/volunteer next time I come thru Athens

Maybe it’s good that I watched the Not Just Bikes video on trams and BRT yesterday…

…currently sitting in at the announcement of the Flash Bus Transit Network connecting Montgomery and Howard counties

Notable (to me) is that I was the only person who biked here. Small pebbles before big changes 😏
