“What dya expect, the guy’s a gigolo, man!” American Gigolo is that achingly ’80s tale about an upmarket male escort oozing with flash and cool. Yet despite a solid performance from Richard Gere in…

I’m taking another guess that the underground NY band you cover in High Noon are The Fugs

According to Gemini, “Live it Up” Is about Johnny Thunders and the “hard partying” of the New York Dolls in general. Is Gemini just making stuff up or is there any truth in this?

Bottom right could be replaced with “Heavy” or “My Life Without Me”

It’s a critique of a materialistic and consumerist culture. “24 hour shopping”. Also, she and Chris Stein love B-movies. They also have a song called “Atack of the Giant Ants”. Often Blondie’s lyrics are ironic, ridiculous and have a sense of humour.

I might be wrong but Mother’s didn’t exist in 1975.

It was actually worn by Chrissie Hynde and Siouxsie Sioux during their early careers. It was part of the punk movement although it was used for its shock value. Not because of sympathy for Nazis.

Any idea when a single will be out to promote “High Noon”? Name of the single? Please, throw us a bone.

Hopefully it’s the new record. At least release the first single early in 2026.

Can’t wait to hear him once again on the new record which at this point who knows when it’s coming out.

Another correct headline. “Hamas says it agrees to release the remaining Israeli hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners, but did not confirm its agreement with the full peace plan presented by the U.S.” NPR
October 3, 2025 at 8:29 PM
This is the correct headline. “Hamas accepts some elements of Trump’s Gaza plans but says others require further negotiations – live” The Guardian

Who is the photographer?

Colin Wilson. I think the first time I heard of him was by William Burroughs mentioning him. Or maybe it was Kerouak. Unrelated to this, congratulations on those nice comments from Johnny Marr about you. I really hope the new Blondie record includes the song he wrote for it.

I feel like Toby every time I remember that a song like “Wipe off My Sweat” took the place of a song like “Horizontal Twist” (the best song on Panic).

So is the new record still called High Noon or not? It is according to the official website but this article questions it.
September 30, 2025 at 3:09 PM
Very few of us would include it among our favorites I think. At least it’s interesting.
September 21, 2025 at 6:30 PM
And “Victor” also.

Is there a YouTube link because they don’t mention Debbie in the ones I’ve just seen?

This is my favorite version. It’s very close to the original but it has a fuller sound.

I’ve seen María for 25 years allready. What I haven’t seen is Amor Fati, Mine and Studio 54. At least you could have included the single version of Nothing is Real but the Girl which is so much better than the version on the álbum.

French Kissing and I want that Man I guess

Hi Blondie management. Can’t you do something to make songs like Amor Fati and Mine available to Blondie fans. Why not release all those unreleased songs and demos from the 1996 - present period? Paint Your Face?
