The thirstiness of these men is embarrassing. Anyone remember “little starbursts”? Because I do!

The ultimate goal is: give everyone what they need to flourish as a human being. No system will ever be able to do that perfectly, but it’s what we should be designing our laws and our institutions to do.

To what ever extent that the left is “judgmental,” it’s judgment of bigoted behavior that hurts other people!

Newsom is betraying such a fundamental misunderstanding of what motivates the progressive left. The goal isn’t to force people to adopt any particular identity; it’s to give every person a baseline level of dignity, protection, affirmation, and support.

I’m sorry, what part of “I WILL FOLLOW YOU DOWN TILL THE SOUND OF MY VOICE WILL HAUNT YOU” did they not understand?!

Seriously though, how inspired is it that Luke had been shown the “ways of the Force” mainly through physicality and combat, only for the Force-iest moment of all to come when he decides not to fight and instead to spare Vader’s life. 13/10, just perfect.

The only two Jedi he’s ever known are all like, “you’ve gotta kill this dude,” and Luke is all, “yeah, nah.”

For all that it gets pretty silly at times, Return of the Jedi has what might be the greatest, bravest, most creatively inspired moment in all: Luke showing Vader mercy and throwing away his lightsaber.

The Southern vampire horror film about music, capitalism, whiteness, and the endurance of Black art.

(Does it count if I don’t say the title?)

No not like that!

Ahhh the salt foam margaritas at Oyamel are so good. Nice work!

Oh no, what did we do?

What an awful headline too. “Circumstances” didn’t rape this girl; Gaetz did! Fucking say that at the top! “Matt Gaetz [allegedly] raped a girl by exploiting her poverty and homelessness.”

The thinking that allowed fascism to flourish is not going to get us out of it.

It’s not just the eight senators who backed the deal. It’s the whole caucus! The vote-swapping is obvious. They’re all in on it. The question should be: “If you agree that Dems should keep fighting, then you’ll move to oust your leadership, right?”
November 10, 2025 at 5:30 PM
It’s kayfabe! Just as likely (if not more) that he wants the deal but worried about getting primaried, so he whipped another Dem senator to vote for the deal.

Not sure I’ve ever seen so much “divorced” energy in one place.

Sounds like we may be across the same politics YouTubers?

Now that's what I call "practicing politics the right way"!

This is where JD Vance, Stephen Miller, and their ilk come in. They’re manufacturing an image of the country that’s independent from Trump, yet animated by the same white Christian nationalism as MAGA. It transmutes loyalty to Trump into loyalty to a MAGA-friendly brand of authoritarian state.

Or more accurately: “illegal bribes.”
