💡I believe that understanding Harari’s concept of '"Homo Algoritmicus" isn’t just a catchy phrase—it’s a wake-up call for all educators. Critical Media Literacy shouldn’t be an optional extra in ELT or in any other field —it should be part of the core toolkit.

❓ Will we allow our learners to become what historian Yuval Harari calls "Homo algoritmicus"—a a generation driven not by reason and critical thought, but by algorithmic predictions and recommendations? Consuming without questioning, always connected but rarely truly informed?

Now, I’m excited to involve my students in projects like creating counter-ads to deconstruct misinformation, stereotypes, and fake news, fostering both critical and creative skills. What other projects have you used in ELT to promote media literacy among young learners?
