Visiting a buddy of mine and he's got it tuned to the Rose Bowl. As a University of Alabama alumni i'm honestly glad to see Alabama get the crap kicked out of it. Great team nine times out of ten but sometimes they need to be taught a lesson.

Playing through King's Field: The Ancient City. Game is obtuse, difficult and clunky but damn if I don't love it to pieces. You can see all the elements that led to the Soulsborne series.

Looking through my Christmas haul and happy with all the books i've gotten. So glad to get new copies of Parable Of The Sower by Octavia E. Butler and Foundation by Isaac Asimov. But the best is an old copy of The Last Unicorn that my Mom gave me, think it's the same one she read to me as a kid.

Finished cooking Christmas dinner and it is a warm 73 degrees out so that means Hawaiian shirt, Bermuda shorts and some Beach Boys rocking on the stereo.

Christmas Eve. Spent the whole day out in town getting what i needed for Christmas dinner. Nice seeing folks out and about in the holiday spirit despite it all.

Love cooking on Sunday, especially Easter Sunday. Got a big ham, dressing, some mac and cheese and picked a whole mess of pokeweed from the woods for some poke sallet.

Gods i adore nights like this. I put on Farmer in the City by Scott Walker and take a night walk through the back roads of my hometown. It's very meditative.

First post here and that means my first Film Friday. I post a film i watched today and encourage others to see it. Today's film was Amour by Michael Haneke. A beautiful yet tragic story of a retired music teacher caring for his wife after a series of strokes.
