Lol, nice strawman. No one expects perfection, but people want something aspirational to get behind. All of those candidates? Their message boiled down to, "Yeah, nothing is going fundamentally change, things will continue to get worse, but at least we aren't as bad as the other guys."

It's important because Harris was a bad candidate and we got Trump because of it. Honestly, so was Hillary and so was Biden. It sucks that a bad Dem candidate can result in a nightmarishly awful Republican one, but it means we can't settle for such worthless, feckless, losers in the future
