European democracies are under attack from Russia in the east and MAGA from the west. Populists are undermining civil society from within. Ukraine is the epicenter of a conflict we cannot afford to lose.

My Alma mater, UPENN, is a disgrace with as many as 10 percent of the faculty leaning Republican. How anyone claiming to believe in science can vote MAGA is beyond me.

The republican party has seized to exist and has morphed into MAGA. No true academic can support MAGA, who is an enemy of science.

I think he has a point. At the rate Putin is going, all that will be left of the Russian empire will be the actual Russian motherland. The rest will break free and create separate countries without the Russian delusions of grandeur.
