Final thought for the evening, and something I’ve been thinking about a lot lately: Everything that has happened, and been happening since 2015, seems to be because a billionaire wanted to avoid jail (or at least some form of accountability).

With few high profile exceptions book bans don’t benefit authors at all. They put pressure on librarians or booksellers not to shelve certain kinds of stories which becomes pressure on publishers not to buy them, and ultimately authors not to write them. The end result is readers unable to read them
