Hmmm maybe you're right. I know the thing I saw was definitely more of a drain looking tunnel (like 2m highby 2 meter wide brick lined arch extending into the distance with standing water about 30cm deep)

Yeah, I remember going in there a number of years ago with Matt. I believe those were just shipping storage and stuff related to the Wharf. The other tunnel they found was more towards the fairy walk.

I'm not sure that's the actual drainage tunnel. I remember someone posted finding it on Facebook a couple of years ago. The tunnel seemed to be a lot bigger and mostly covered by rocks and rubble. I've been trying to find the post but it was a lot further around shelley Bay road.
