Mine doesn't either, but I don't imagine it'll help him focus on his school work, so I'm not going to make him go to school soaking wet while I break traffic laws to save myself a trifling inconvenience.

Blocking a parking lot entrance and making his kids run across it plus a long distance in the rain to save himself five minutes seems pretty damn selfish to me. My kid got to exit my car right at the door, with all nearby cars held at a stop while the kids exited. And he stayed mostly dry.

I once watched a guy stop his truck in the entry to the staff parking lot, quite far from the doors, and boot his kids out in the pouring rain to dash inside. All so he didn't have to sit in line for five minutes.

I *was* happy with my @wired.com subscription until I opened Bluesky and found my feed absolutely flooded with these. Probable won't cancel over just that, but it was a serious knock against their reputation in my book.

As a lifelong Rangers fan, the Mariners were kind of my emotional support division rival pre-2023. "Sure, we hardly ever make the playoffs, have never won the World Series, and got our souls ripped out the one time we got close. But at least we're not the Mariners!"

Aaaand bought. Somehow had no idea this existed. Every time I re-read those strips, it makes me want to visit an alternate universe where you and Tycho make fantasy graphic novels full time. Such a cool setting. So much more fantastical than "medieval England but some people can throw fireballs."

I prefer Honda Christ. Way more reliable, and gets a bit better MPG (miracles per grape, standard measure of Communion economy).
