I understand that the goal was to depict love as it truly is but I think they leaned too much on the tragic and unrequited bits and not enough on the true and abiding love most aim for in life.

A pacemaker is slipped into a pocket under your skin. An LVAD requires open-heart surgery. It helps pump your blood in a continuous stream. You lose your pulse. They are not the same. Doctors are very careful anesthetizing the elderly for obvious reasons.

I dunno…LVAD surgery takes anywhere from 4-6 hours. The elderly don’t fare well under anesthesia. It’s not likely surgeons would have taken such a risk. Recovery isn’t a cake walk either. It’s anywhere from 3-6 months. And it was never announced that Vance was acting president.
