My fieldwork will take place in two IT hubs of Europe, Finland and the Netherlands, which are similar in their interest in mental health, but differ in their regulation. I will seek interviews with representatives of companies developing psychedelic substances;

I am going to study all of this – and more.

My goal is to find out where the money and the ideas come from, and, more fundamentally, which definitions of mental health prevail in these milieus and why.

You have probably heard about clinical trials using psychedelics to treat various mental health conditions. You may also have heard about psychedelic retreats, AI chatbots designed for therapeutic conversations, and people who use general AI models to discuss their mental health concerns.
