He only apologized to me on his friends’ behalf when I kicked them out. When I told him “you need better friends” he nervously laughed it off, saying “yeah I know, they’re wasted I’m sorry”

Ask the young men in your life what kind of people they are letting in their circles. Because the guy that felt embarrassed enough by his friend’s behavior to scribble out what he wrote clearly did not feel embarrassed enough to call him out in front of his other friends and his girlfriend.

I hear these kinds of comments from college guys pretty much every night going to and from work. And with the culture we are embracing today (a culture where people do not feel ashamed to be hateful and misogynistic online) it has only gotten more common.

I received this…advice…instead of a tip last night. From a man I’ve never met before in my life, with whom the only words I said to him were “do you want to start a tab”.

And while I don’t really care what this kind of person thinks about my appearance, it 100% got to me the way he wanted it to.
