There is pressure to invalidate some queer identities to try to make queerness more palatable and accepted by the mainstream.
But I think that only works if there is a group that can be used as a scapegoat. (Trans kids, anyone?)

One thing that irritates me is the benevolent queerphobia that assumes we are suffering and disadvantaged because of our queerness (like being ace). I know for myself that I'm only suffering from a society that chooses to only center around the 'norm' of allo-cis-hetero.

The aromantic sticker design is probably one of my favorites. Am I allowed to say that? 😂 It was probably also one of the easiest flags to decide what fruit I was going to do for it. The aromantic color scheme is such a summer vibe.

First off, asexuality isn't defined by not liking sex. There are sex adverse and sex favorable asexual people and both are equally valid.
An asexual person doesn't feel sexual attraction to others. That doesn't affect their romantic attraction.
Asexuality is not the same thing as a low libido.

When it comes to nonbinary and trans people, there are a lot of myths trying to refute our existence with supposed scientific arguments. But once I understood the politics behind 'common knowledge' around gender, it is easier to stop getting hung up on those trying to shame me with these arguments.
