I decided to pick up chainmail making the other day!
This is the second chainmail piece I've made so far - a jester collar with some added spikes. It took a little under 4 hours all together

Piper has taken part in the arts their entire life, including participation in the performance arts, and attending Tulsa Girls Art School for 6 years. Piper started their own photography business in 2023 and specializes in senior portraits. Currently they focus most of their time on oil paintings and creating hand carved linoleum prints. Their growing collection of art prints are currently available to order on their Etsy (ArtByParkCreations). Artist Statement: As an artist my work often draws from my history with mental illness and depression. I use my art to express the feelings of pain and frustration that comes with being AFAB, queer, and disabled in a world that is not built for you. My art is my hope for a safer future. I hope others can use my art as a new lense in which to view the world. And to those who already see the world as I do, I hope my art brings you comfort. My piece "What will it take?" Is a piece about the grief that comes with being AFAB in America. It's about the terror we feel every day as the control over our bodies is stolen from us. It asks "What will it take for you to care?" "How many women have to die for you to wake up?" It questions the compassion of those who fight against a person's rights over their own body and hopes that the future might be different.
