The long-distance landscape renderer is gradually being integrated with the game proper. Though still rough, it has truly made the world feel much grander with the ability to see hundreds-thousands of metres

Got camera rotation working in the new renderer. Also experimented with greater draw distances and smaller sample-density from the world-map. Result: I can probably render 2-3 km with FPS in the hundreds =)

The long distance landcape renderer is coming along quite nicely. Here, the "draw depth" is about 1 km.

Combined with the "close distance renderer", I should get detail up close as well as a rough outline of more distant lands.

I couldn't stay away from coding anymore, so I dipped back into it by starting work on a prototype for a long-distance landscape renderer for Warlock's Gantlet (my game). Tomorrow I will continue work on the painting =)

I made the decision to change the woman's tunic from red to black. A very good choice in my opinion. Now the painting is really getting close to finished =)
