1/20 Hi! I’m Katy, a p/t PhD student with @SWWDTP @UniRdg_Arch. I’m taking this opportunity to reflect on my extended experience and the amazing people I’ve been working with, who have introduced me to different ways of thinking and doing archaeology. #HiddenLandscapes

One book sale in seventeen days. Yikes. Help us to avoid the worst of all possible fates - the crowdfunder - by buying our scrupulously edited, meticulously designed, handsomely produced and fastidiously packaged books here:

This is my copy, 1963 edition. Interesting to see the timescales!
Colour photo of a yellow paperback book titled ‘Field Archaeology, some notes for beginners issued by the Ordnance Survey’ with a line drawing of a trilithon from Stonehenge. Colour photo of a page from a book showing a timeline from 550,000 BC to AD 1963. Colour photo of a page from a book showing a timeline from 2,500 BC to AD 1963 including periods from Neolithic to Dark Ages with some modern era events also noted. The date ranges for the periods and some of the period names would be shown differently now.

OS Archaeology Division became part of RCHME. The last member of staff who worked for the OS recently retired from Historic England as we are now!

The Western Rose has beaten us, we found an English Rose which includes Parfait Amour. Obvs we have to google all the ingredients we have never heard of and so far this takes the prize for most obscure!
