I hope some of this stuff has been useful to those reading - let me know if it has.
I'll try and boil it all down into a document eventually, and may come back to spotlighting things in a few months, but until then, tomorrow is the last day of January, and going forward I'll do one art post a week.

I haven't seen anyone illustrate a whole RPG with Pepper and Carrot art, but I believe it could be done - especially as he chooses to make the textless versions of each panel available for ease of use.

The Pepper and Carrot comics are a trove if you're a #ttrpg creator or a #writer seeking consistent characters/artstyle for book #art.

Throughout this month I have often run into a new source of art and then gone - "Oh, wait, that's David Revoy again". He's done a LOT of cool stuff.

As a reminder, always check licenses, and be careful - the SCP wiki licenses everything as CC-BY-SA **UNLESS STATED OTHERWISE**. Neither of these art sets state otherwise at present, but some do and there's no guarantee that these ones won't be changed later.

And a happy go lucky looking insect man that is currently my new internal image for The Delver from our 13th Age setting.

Counterplay Games made a very kind choice releasing their entire game and all its #art into the #creativecommons in such a way - and it's definitely worth checking out Duelyst II

You may note I'm not crediting the artist - this isn't because I don't want to, I really do, so much so that it's delayed me posting from this source. I can credit the game, but can't find credits for individual art. This may be because all art was collaborative, or I may just be missing something.

Also, as long as you don't scroll past the line, you only see whether or not YOUR triggers are present. So rather than a list of the most common, and maybe getting "spoiled" that there's animal death when that's manageable for you, you can slim it down to just the things you personally need to know.

while credit would be appreciated if you use them untouched, I'm happy to release the edits as CC0. Remember that you do still need to credit Jaclynonacloud for the image however - all I'm doing is waiving any control over the slapdash 3 minute GIMP edits.

Normally I keep any editing for the weekly upload to avoid overworking, but these edits are just so fast and smooth.

For reference the colourised dragon is colourised by me, and the non-green wolf had some of the glow manually removed by me. These edits were quick and minor enough that🧵

The second didn't come with colours, but did have layers preset for applying them to - making edits trivial. Open Source Art is awesome.

Giving access to an images source code makes generating variants much easier, so here are a few variants on the 6-eyed Wolf

looks like I'll only be repeating one artist (other than technically my own colouring) - not because I'm running out, it's just an artist that was in the Christmas post and may well have been the one who got me into creative commons art (my memory isn't great so I'm not sure). That'll be friday.

I certainly intend to make use of the Lich next time we try and do something with our 13 Phylacteries of the Lich Lord(s) project. Fingers crossed that'll be this year, but health has been proving a significant obstacle.

For anyone who's following along, there's only 5 more posts left🧵

Custin makes great use of strong colours to create striking scenes in both these pieces.

What do you guys think? Are other ancient species as cool as dinosaurs? Would you rather face another dire animal, or a Woznikella?
