I remember seeing Bob every weekend while playing with my band in Deep Ellum. I was 19 years old and playing to a room of 10 people. And sometimes, if I was very lucky, he would be one of them. His love of music was so pure and I wish I had a fraction of his passion. Rest In Peace, Bob.

I'm probably in the minority of Leftists who actually liked Kamala Harris. Do I wish her politics were further left? Obviously. But as a person I found her charming. I don't give a shit about her book. We needed her to keep fighting, not go off to write a book. So this PR tour isn't for me.

The correct way to connect the authoritarian presence in LA and the Big Beautiful Bill is that the bill gives the government the resources to do this in dozens of cities at once. So if you don't like what's happening in LA, it's coming to your town if the bill passes.
