In the US, a LEO can be on the streets, with a gun, after as little as 806 hrs of training. In the UK, an officer cannot begin their firearm training until they have proved to be a competent officer for 2 years.

In the US, a LEO can be on the streets, with a gun, after as little as 806 hrs of training. In the UK, an officer cannot begin their firearm training until they have proved to be a competent officer for 2 years.
