It’s more than a bit strange that Trump is talking about Canada as though it’s not a real country. The same way that Putin talks about Ukraine. Vance is Trump’s useful idiot.

Speaking as a Canadian, the Trump administration has, in a few weeks, done enormous damage to the US Canada relationship. I’m not happy that the US anthem is being booed, but that’s where we’re at, unfortunately.

If oil and gas were exempt from US tariffs but to retaliate Canada put a tax on them, what would that do to Canadian unity? Surely Alberta would be strongly opposed to this tactic.
