Our aim is to advance the study of Arthur Miller and his works. The Arthur Miller Society was founded in 1995 by Steven Centola. We publish the Arthur Miller Journal.
13 Jan. date on a letter Miller’s brother Kermit wrote to him—(it must have been in 1935 and sent to Miller when he was at Michigan), telling him about being woken up by a fire alarm while staying at a hotel on sales trip and meeting several “loose” women there while out drinking at the local bars!

It was something of an arranged married decided between Isidore’s father Samuel and a fellow manufacturer, Louis Barnett. She was 7 years younger than Isidore, though would pre-decease him by 5e years.

Here is a letter that Miller and Tennessee Williams wrote together on 30 Dec. 1954 to Louis Funke at the New York Times calling out a comment Eric Bentley had made in his recent book (I assume: In Search of Theater) in regard to Elia Kazan's input into Salesman and Streetcar!

Celebrating Vanessa Redgrave, born today, 88 years old.
Her Mary Tyrone. One doesn’t so much direct her as watch in awe as she takes the work somewhere fearless and uncompromising.
A life spent taking risks. An artist who believes the work matters more than approval.
