I can only stand the existential dread for so long

Streamers should be allowed to play what they want to play and not be trapped in what their fanbase prefers most.

It's a shame the systems in place punish that very thing. "Variety is the spice of life", but the numbers refuse to adhere to that.

Can't do anything but blame Scarlet and Violet for how Terastylizing looks. Conceptually fun with type changes, but boy are the weird crystal sheen and goofy hats really ugly.

How it ended up being the final visual design is beyond me.

I feel this so much. Ever since the Marvel movies it feels like a constant, unavoidable barrage of these IPs.

Like, it's fine that Marvel stuff exists but I've been getting tired of seeing it everywhere in everything.

Lots of franchises doing this lately... Curse the nostalgia market.

I think pokemon is doing pretty well lately. If it weren't for how unstable it was, Scarlet/Violet could have been one of the greatest pokemon games of all time and still arguably is in terms of plot.

But it's all about the huge franchise, and the games could use a bit more time and care.

Pokemon Red on my bright red Game Boy Pocket is the first thing that comes to my mind.

This but open-world games because it's just shorthand for bloated playtimes and horrendous performance.

At least there's so many games being made that something should come out that appeals to anyone's particular tastes.
