Stop Big Tech that:
- launders our data
- dehumanises workers
- lobbies for unsafe uses
- pollutes our environment

Short book on how AI corps get destructive:

I hate to say it, but this is the start.

The pain we’re going to face with genAI (used to extract on top of identity conflict politics) is going to be say at least 20x the pain we experienced with social media.

Our hope is in finding clarity. That even the engineers realise that it is a dead end.

A deep-dive into what happened👇

When I led local 'EA' groups, I used to half-jokingly say that effective altruism is a cult. I still like many of the well-intentioned people there. But I've left. Over time, I've come to understand how it's actually a cult.

My forum bio now says this:

‘From the first draft, the Code included a two-tier approach distinguishing between risk categories. However, in the current draft, the second risk category went from simply “additional” to “optional.”’

This is some deeply twisted shit

I wrote a tiny book on why the focus should not be on ‘AI’ specifically, but on the tech corporations.

Here is a free copy:

Sigh. I’m sure they’re not as free of ideology of domination and extraction as they might think they are.

But it’s a sad for some people to be posting Hitler-grandification for cash, and it fitting right into what the algorithms are boosting.

Better if people were genuine about their beliefs.

I just…

WTF is wrong with this society?
November 21, 2025 at 12:55 AM
Incisive and hard-hitting.
November 19, 2025 at 2:02 AM
This is nuts! How distorted do your motivations have to be to not see what you’re entangled into?
November 16, 2025 at 4:13 AM
Tech execs do not feel about the world the same way we do. We need to mind that.

Lawyer jumps on stage to subpoena Sam Altman.
November 7, 2025 at 3:50 PM
Narrow visions serve OpenAI’s strategy of manipulating our culture for gain.

That’s how Sam Altman scaled extractive start-ups. And how he now debases the very concept of non-profit charity.

They don’t care about you. “Care” is just pretty packaging for a product to be sold.
November 3, 2025 at 5:36 AM
OpenAI Foundation will invest in the infrastructure needed for OpenAI to make money.

It’s a fraud of a non-profit: pretending to contribute to the commons, while actually covering the healthcare data and cybersecurity and whatever else can be offloaded by the for-profit entity.
November 3, 2025 at 5:34 AM
That sounds right!

And it is also worse, because we’re not just going through a (hidden) middle person. But we’re actually getting tied up to the corporate machines and disconnected from each other.

I wrote about it here:

On propaganda, it is telling that this tweet popped up first just now when I opened twitter.

This part hits:

“I also wish that the many, exhausted activists who didn’t take money from Google or Facebook could have even a quarter of the attention, status and authority the Prodigal Techbro assumes is his birth-right.”

It’s weird how I trusted Ed Zitron to mean well (despite the disingenuous promotion of ideas I noticed sometimes) because he told me didn’t like Gary in part because of his attacks on you.

This is just shit:
October 28, 2025 at 4:49 AM
WTF, Zitron felt like a disingenuous/narrow-minded promoter of ideas sometimes, but I didn’t know it was this bad.

We need to hone in on the companies and the sociopathic techbros who climbed to the top.

Talking about “AI” as some separate entity that’ll take over the world is a distraction.

I even wrote a book about it:
