This year will be my year of minis 5x7” in an effort to cultivate a more tonalist-colorist-impressionist style. Trusting the modern day masters telling me to paint a large number of paintings to help develop skills.

This one was just plain fun to paint. “Ospreys Make a New Home” 8x6” plein air gouache.
These ospreys were building at the top of an abandoned crane. Watching the choice of nesting materials was interesting: Sometimes sticks, other times clumps of mud and weeds.
