A new kind of Sunday Story! Once every 1-2 months, my Sunday Story will be replaced with a “Where to eat in Molise” post. I’m continuing to develop the Crivello world and am eager to make this a space that celebrates food and italianità in a variety of ways:

Eating as many garlic knots as possible is always one of my priorities when I’m in New York. Here are yesterday’s knots from Rocky’s Pizzeria & Restaurant 😍

Once again, people prove their inability to see beyond their circumstances. Apparently luxury stores, Amazon fulfillment centres, cars, and a basketball team should be our priorities over affordable housing and the environment (& public transit is part of that)

Something about watching hockey feels so nostalgic to me lately. I’ve always followed the Habs casually, but I find myself looking forward to upcoming games and making sure I’m home to catch them.

🎃 happy Halloween!

Here are the first pages of my childhood spooky (food?) writing: an unfinished, handwritten manuscript for THE SAND-WITCH.

As a kid, I loved scary stories about ghosts, haunted houses, and magic. I would read them and watch them even though they kept me up at night.

A few months ago, I interviewed Maria, Patrizia, Stefania, and Anthony about their high school style and its relationship (or not) to their Italian-Canadian identity. We had some interesting conversations! Check them out in this week’s Sunday Story on fashion, Jersery Shore, italianità, and more.

I need to know what finance departments in academic institutions do ON THE DAILY that make it so impossible to pay honorariums within an acceptable timeframe? Why are people out here waiting 5 months for $300? It’s so embarrassing and wrong.

This commission statement refers to people with Autism, ADHD, asthma, auto-immune disease, and chronic illness as a “dire threat to the American people and our way of life”.

This is a manifesto against disability.

This is the language of eugenics.
