Thank you to Haarlem Art Space, Wirksworth for exhibition my work, "Existence in a Non-Dead World". This was created by digitally layering 2 35mm photos and printing on acetate.
It explores pandispositionalism and the idea that all objects have the power bring about change in the world.

I am delighted to be showing my #art piece, 'Existence in a Non-Dead World', at #HaarlemArtSpace

This work explores #pandispositionalism, the belief that everything that exists has the power to bring about or cause change in the world.

In fairness to Jupiter, with the way things are going, if I were Earth's neighbour I'd chuck rocks at us too.

I see what you mean, but it hasn't been rewritten. It's more that it gives a different, feminist perspective, so Julia is a fully realised character, with a life, experiences and difficulties of her own, rather than just being the 2d "rebel from the waist down" caricature she is in 1984.
artoftimeproject.bsky.social
After reading 1984 I highly recommend reading Julia by Sandra Newman. A retelling of 1984 from the perspective of the main female protagonist. It's in keeping with the original text and offers a lot more food for thought

I've been learning ceramics to eventually make a series of clepsydra. #Clepsydra are water #clocks, the oldest of which was created in Egypt approx 3500 thousand years ago! It's basically a pot, with a hole at the bottom which you fill with water, the water drains out, passing #time markers

Standing at the Prime Meridian line at the #Greenwich Observatory.
I took a trip there last week in anticipation of a new series I'm starting which details the #history and #politics of #timekeeping.

Another 'Time As Provocation' is speeding it's way to a new home today. This is a set of #provocation cards which I created primarily (but not solely) for #artists and creatives who want to explore themes of #time and #temporality in their
#practice.
