Yeah, apparently his best friend was a trans guy or something and he wanted to be a positive experience for trans people. It was really great seeing someone so dedicated to trans expression & comfort.

But, to your point, extremely rare. Too many people are looking to make a buck off us.

Thankfully I had the opposite of this happen! I went in to the local trans-friendly piercing shop to get my clit pierced (fully expecting to pay full price) and my piercer said he gave discounts to trans people for gender affirming piercings. I paid a fraction of what I thought I would.

Right? That's so wild; I've never *accidentally* put a swastika up anywhere. It's the kind of thing you'd question the moment you first saw it if it wasn't supposed to be there. The kind of thing that, as soon as you see it hanging up, you'd say something like, "Who the fuck put this up?"

There are mutual aid groups here in STL. It could just be a matter of them not being on bluesky. Idk. I'm not much on social media of any sort, but there were a fair number of FB groups before I left FB. Otherwise, I've found plenty of help through local Discord groups.
