Pictures and art can most certainly make an argument. Whether speaking on a current event or a greater societal issue. Art allows for discussion of any type of conflict.

Artists can be as intentional or unintentional as they want and as their work allows them. Making intentional choices allows an artist to build a style and repertoire which is unique to themself.

I dont think its important for artist to have a sense of purpose. They should just aim to create. They should try to create based off personal experience, societal issues, philosphical concepts, or whatever they feel like.

Is it important to know artists names?
Short answer is no; you should know what art you like and not what artist you like. However, being knowledgable about arists allows you to have more complex conversations about art and what you like / dont like.

I have heard of many artists. In the day of social media, I think its important to not just focus on 'instagram artists' but to go out and seek authentic work.

Does my family own art? Yes, my family works in the art world and it is likely the basis of my parents relationship. Their obsession with art has shown me that art serves as a point of connection rather than just collection.

I have spent a lot of time with art in my life. When I was young, art was forced upon me which created a negative association. Once I got into high school and college, I was able to form my own tastes and appreiciation.

Also not too sure what analysis means in an artistic context. I assume it means further delving into meaningful subjets through intrepretation.

Im not really sure what field work means/entails. I assume it means going out and figuring things out hands-on. Building your own assumptions.

Art can defitnely express power. It can assert cultural identity, challenge authority, and convey messages of resistance or dominance, reflecting the dynamics of power in society as in the case with Nikki Lee or Arne Svenson.

I think art can provide comfort by offering a sense of familiarity. Whether through familar landscapes or nostalgic imagery, art has the capacity to calm ones mind and provide creative relief.

Art doesn’t have to make you feel, but it often does. It has the power to evoke a range of emotions, from joy to sorrow, and everything in between. The ability to express an emotional response is one of art’s greatest impacts,

Judd's works draws many comparisons in my eyes to the famous Mexican architect Luis Ramiro Barragan. His designs are deeply intertwined with nature and light which is what topophilia is all about in my eyes.

Judd was an advocate for using physical space to make an artistic impact. This ties heavily into topophilia; his minimalist sculptures and installations often engage directly with their environment, creating a dialogue between the artwork, the space, and the viewer.
