Having fun creating a sample for my sculpture class! They are starting larger than life sculptures of snack or candy bags. The idea is inspired by Claes Oldenburg’s sculptures.

Today we lay a 15 year old child to rest. A child who was bullied by a bot/spam/mother fu$king a$$hole account threatening him with AI created explicit images.
He was a fabulous kid. Never met a stranger, was always polite & kind, loved by his classmates & teachers. His bright light will be missed.

On this #caturday I wanted to focus on our sweet Pinkie. She passed almost two years ago at 16 years old. She was a fabulous cat and was definitely the leader of the neighborhood. No one f$&ked with Pinkie or Pinkie’s house. Finally was able to draw this from my favorite picture I took of her.

One of the cool things about being an art teacher is that I get to create when they create. So, while my Art 1 students were working on creating Expressionist prints, I worked on some expressive prints of my own.

Instead of overall NY resolutions, I decided to choose a few goals each month to focus on. January’s goals were- art daily, no unnecessary purchases, and no fast food. I was successful in all three! Here are a few of the many artsy things I created this month!

You did a good job! Try working bigger. Charcoals and pastels give you the chance to use your entire arm to draw.

So, my husband got this from my mom’s husband. They’ve known each other for over 20 years. At no point in this time has my husband ever expressed any interest in cowboy culture. And yes… the strings do tie around the leg.
